Answer:
I shall assume you mean places at or near the earth’s surface and gaseous oxygen.
Several major areas exist.
Acquatic dead zones. These may be in the ocean, deep in bodies of water with restricted circulation or under the ice in a lake. In these areas decaying vegetation consumes all available oxygen and all aerobic life within them suffocates. These dead zones can be seasonal or persist for centuries.
Restricted valleys near volcanic vents. There are several lakes in the west African rift system where carbon dioxide periodically vents from the subsurface. Because CO2 is heavier than air it fills the valley excluding oxygen. The result is fatal to any person or animal that is present at the time of the event. A similar thing can happen in a volcanic caldera but the heavy gas is frequently full of H2S, a very dangerous gas.
Industrial containers, sewers, sumps and structures. Many industrial containers are designed to exclude air or contain chemical or biological agents that consume oxygen. Unless they are carefully vented they can be a huge risk for any worker entering them to undertake repairs or cleaning.
