• Mehrgarh is one of South Asia 's earliest agricultural and farming sites. It was one of the first places where wheat & barley were grown and goat & sheep were raised. It is one of the first known villages in fact.
• On discovery, archeologists discovered signs of animal bones.They also discovered  remains of houses. The bulk of houses were rectangular or square. They typically had 4 or more compartments, some of them for storage purposes. Many burial sites in Mehrgarh were also discovered.
