The characteristic feature of plants is the presence of root, stem and leaves. They are responsible for the process of photosynthesis and hence are called as consumers.
But, some plants do not possess root, stem or leaves. They belong to the group called bryophytes.
Eg: Mosses and liverworts.
- They lack true stem, leaves and root and they reproduce through spores.
- They have root like rhizoids and dry out very quickly as water cannot be transported.
- They do not produce seeds.
