Water can enter the atmosphere in three ways. Water that is on top of oceans, lakes, and rivers, with the help of added energy from the sun the water can form water vapors in the atmosphere. That process is called evaporation. The water can enter the atmosphere from snow and ice with the process of sublimation where they also make water vapors. Last water can get in the atmosphere from plants through transpiration which means that the water is evaporated through the pores of the leaves.

I hope this is helpful!
