HELLO DEAR,
The tubing you see below allows for the transfer of cold water to the ice maker/water dispenser and basically is just screws right onto the back of the refrigerator. Of course, tap water tastes horrible in certain areas, so it is pretty common for refrigerators to have a small cylindrical water filter built into it.
I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS

"The refrigerator process is done on three simple steps
1. A cooling refrigerant gas is passed over the food items or the fluids which are kept inside the fridge.
2. The refrigerant absorbs the heat energy which are produced by the food items or the liquids kept in them. There by reduces its temperature.
3. The refrigerant absorbs the heat energy and distributes it to the cooler in the surroundings outside.
4. Here in case of water the refrigerant absorbs heat energy from water and distributes it to the relative coolers in the surroundings by means of condenser. Thus, maintains the cool temperature."
