The oxide of hydrogen, H2O is neutral, while the oxides of halogens, e.g., Cl2O, ClO2, Cl2O7 etc. are acidic and the oxides of alkali metals, e.g. Na2O, K2O etc are basic. (ii) Hydrogen atom has no inner electrons and no unshared electrons.
