If kerosene and water are mixed throughly, say in a blender, they will separate into a kerosene layer on top and a water layer below. The water can be drained off in a separatory funnel. But the kerosene layer will contain a very small amount of dissolved water and perhaps some microscopic droplets.

There are a few ways of removing the remaining water. Distillation is a bit of overkill, I think, and I’m not sure how effective that will be at very low levels of water. The best way to get the water level below a very low level, say 1 ppm, would be to pass it through an absorbent, something the water molecules will adhere to but the kerosene molecules will not, a mole sieve, activated carbon or an appropriate zeolite. A laboratory supply house can advise you.
