With determination, persistence, and selflessness, Sun Yat-sen is truly the greatest hero in China's history. These characteristics guided him to create a historic revolution that overthrew the corrupted Qing Dynasty. After the revolution, Sun began a new Republic of China that lasted from 1912-1949.

Which qualities do you like in sun yat sen ?why?
- because he had a genuine concern for and faith in the Chinese people throughout his entire life. Sun persisted despite numerous setbacks in his quest to free China and the rest of the globe from the Manchus' chains of foreign rule by inspiring them to see their own potential. But every succeeding Chinese leader—Yuan ShiKai, Jiang ShiJie, Mao TseDong, etc.—betrayed his goals and hopes when the Qing fell and it was time to build the new modern China.
- Although the present KMT in Taiwan embraces many of Sun's governing principles, the modern railway system is the only one of his ambitions for China that came true.
- He is much like the founding father of China, George Washington, but more sad. China also has a soft spot for tragic heroes.
- Without having to read all of Confucius' writings, Sun Yat-Three Sen's Ideals are an extremely clear consolidation of Confucian principles. The Three Principles would make a decent political bumper sticker if you wanted to express Confucianism.
- The Three Ideas are a convenient abbreviation for "Good Chinese Values" because the Chinese adhered to and still uphold Confucian principles. Everyone like that kind of distillation, and it's simple to form political coalitions around it:
