Speed remains constant in uniform circular motion.
A circular motion is the motion of a body in a circular path. If this motion takes place with a constant magnitude of velocity, then the motion may be termed as uniform circular motion. Velocity is defined as the rate of change of displacement and is a vector quantity. This means that velocity has both direction and magnitude associated with it. The magnitude of velocity is known as speed. In a uniform circular motion, the direction of moving object changes continuously but the magnitude is always the same.
