Between two rational numbers there are infinite number of rational numbers. Thus. there are infinite number of rational numbers between 1 & 2. For e.g. 3/2 is a rational number which is greater than 1 but less than 2.

 \frac{ - 3}{4}  =   \frac{ - 3 \times 2}{4 \times 2}  =  \frac{ - 6}{8}  \\  \frac{1}{2} = \frac{1 \times 4}{2 \times 4}  =  \frac{2}{8}

-6/8,-5/8-4/8,-3/8,-2/8,-1/8,0,1/8,2/8
