Which reaction will change saturated carbon compounds into unsaturated compounds?

By Hydrogenation reaction we can change unsaturated carbon compounds into saturated carbon compounds, so that we can make it more efficient.

But it is useless to change saturated compounds to unsaturated confounds that is why we don't do so.
