Which reagent is used to distinguish magnesium nitrate and lead nitrate?

Lead nitrate and zinc nitrate can be distinguished by adding ammonium hydroxide to both. - When NH4OH is added to zinc nitrate, double precipitation reaction occurs giving white ppt of ammonium nitrate. - When NH4OH is added to lead nitrate, no change is observed.
