♡ Hii ♡

The reaction is : Zn + HCl → ZnCl2 + H2

The metal zinc readily reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce hydrogen gas (H2) and zinc chloride (ZnCl2).

Hope it helps !!

Answer:

The experiment shows that when zinc granules are added to dilute hydrochloric acid, then zinc chloride is formed along the evolution of hydrogen gas.

Zn + 2HCl -------> ZnCl2 + H2

In the figure,

(1) shows the formation of ZnCl,

and (2) shows the release of H2 gas ( when candle is brought near H2 gas, it gives a pop- sound)
