Ganga(a.k.a GANGES) and Brahmaputra have the highest total replenishable groundwater resources of about 170.99 and 26.55  km/year respectively. The Ganga basin has semi-arid valleys in the north of Himalayas. It is joined by Kosi, Ghagra, Gandak from the Himalayas. Whereas Brahmaputra is one of the major rivers of Asia which flows through Bangladesh, India, and China. This is an important river for irrigation and transportation.
