Hey

The speaker chooses the road that wasn't taken by many people. He didn't take the easier road. This shows that he is adventurous and wants to stand out of the crowd. he likes to do things which aren't so common and experience something new each time.

Hope it helps! :)

Speaker in the poem, 'The Road not Taken' chose the road that was not opted by others and that was less traveled. He chose road which is not usual and not taken by other people as a usual option. This is because the speaker wanted to do something unusual; create and discover the new things; face and overcome the difficulties; and challenges himself.

The poem is a metaphor for doing new things, accepting challenges, moving away from the usual and the already accepted ways, and creating and discovering every new thing that would be challenging but person would stand strong against them and achieve his/her aim.

Though it also talks of the dilemma of opting for one option of those always available and how after choosing the one person would always be inquisitive of opting of the other as the speaker in the poem regrets not trying the other road.
