Answer: Under the surface of the Earth, molten and semi-molten rock mixtures are known as magma derived from Igneous rock.

Explanation:

  • This mixture typically consists of four components: a heated liquid base substance known as the melt; minerals that the melt crystallised; solid rocks that the melt mixed with from the surrounding constraints; and dissolved gases.
  • At convergent borders, where tectonic plates are colliding, heat transfer frequently takes place. Hot rock from below may intrude into the cooler plate above as the denser tectonic plate subducts, or sinks below, the less dense tectonic plate and this procedure generates magma while transferring heat.
  • Although magma compositions vary, all have eight essential components in varying amounts. Following oxygen and silicon in order of abundance are aluminium, iron, calcium, sodium, magnesium, and potassium.
  • The Earth's crust contains the most of these eight elements. Magma is a combination of minerals, similar to solid rock and additionally, it has trace levels of dissolved gases like sulphur, carbon dioxide, and water vapour.
  • Magma is made in a fluid state by the tremendous pressure and temperatures under the crust of the Earth.
