Pith

Secondary growth is absent in monocot roots due to lack of vascular and cork cambium. Conjunctive tissue is parenchymatous tissues which separates xylem and phloem bundles. It may become sclerenchymatous in older roots. Pith is large, well developed portion of monocot root.
