The founder of Mauryan Empire Chandragupta Maurya as well as the third Mauryan Emperor Asoka increased the extent of Mauryan Empire.

Emperor Asoka was more efficient because he had conquered the Kingdom of Kalinga which his grandfather couldn't do.
