The Minister for IT and Textiles said that the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao, wanted every weaver in the State to get an income of Rs15,000 per month and was taking measures to turn this into reality. Under “Nethannaku Cheyuta Scheme”, the beneficiary needed to contribute an amount equal to eight per cent of his salary as his share in the saving scheme and the State government would contribute 16 per cent. He said that the State government had, earlier, extended only eight per cent. After three years, the beneficiaries can withdraw the amount along with interest, he added. In case of powerloom workers, it would be eight per cent, he added. The scheme would benefit 30,000 to 40,000 weavers, including workers engaged in sizing and dyeing, he said
