Environment affects the personality of a person. Whatever a person sees so he learns. Modelling and imitation is done by observing people in the environment. As family is the first school so many people imitate their parents and they find their parents their models. Most of the things are learned from outside like schools, clubs etc from friends etc. Anyways, humans have a freewill they can do anything whatever they wish. From where ever they would like to learn so will they. Who ever they like to imitate and model so they will. It depends from a person to person but parents are the first target to model and copy as a person is born with them and live with them.
