Which sepration techniques will you apply for theseparation of the following : a)oil from water b)butter from curd c)iron pains ftom sand

a) Oil from water: As we know that oil and water are 2 immiscible liquids i.e. they can not be mixed with one another. so, we would use the separating funnel to separate them. the principle is that immiscible liquids separate out in layers depending on their densities.

b) butter from curd:  it can be separated by centrifugation. the principle is that the denser particles are forced to the bottom and light particles stay at the top when spun rapidly.

c) iron pins from sand: it can be simply separated by using a magnet as iron gets attracted towards the magnet, the pins will get attached to it separating from the sand.
