The culture and sports sectors in particular should acquire more resources for their activities thanks to growing wealth, which will have a positive impact on employment. Finally, the growing importance of waste sorting and recycling and sewage treatment will boost employment in this sector of public services, and this trend is of a long-term nature.

In terms of occupational requirements and demand for labour, the sector of other services will face a major problem. A majority of jobs will require at most upper secondary qualifications, and basic (lower secondary) education will often suffice. The number of candidates for these jobs will decline, while it will be necessary to ensure that the need for these public services be satisfied. This lack of availability of low skilled job candidates is generally expected to be a major long-term problem that even a more extensive employment of foreign nationals will not resolve to full satisfaction. A large number of job vacancies for which low skilled individuals are demanded is typical of the labour markets in many developed countries. The CR is gradually approaching this situation.

As regards qualification requirements, occupations related to the making of films, TV programmes and radio and TV broadcasts constitute an exception. As the number of TV channels increases and digitalisation and IT implementation progresses, there will be a growing demand for specialists in content design and also technical support workers. Moreover, requirements for their expertise will partially change and increase.
