The british were discriminative of the indians and only allowed some privileges to be enjoyed by the british. They occuped the best lands and built bungalows in which they lived. Only the elite were allowed to occupy such houses. These were people with high ranking economically and socially. the discrimination extended to offering of services and choice of schools.
