Functional perspective is sociological perspective that views society as an organism in which each fragment of an organism contributes to its survival and stability. Each facet in society is interdependent and society will act as a whole and these parts will recapture stability and productivity. But functionalism received negative comments because in this perspective, society neglects the negative functions.
