The type of soil having the right water holding capacity, the one that is well aerated and the type of soil that is fertile is good for the growth of plants.
Loamy soil has all these properties as it contains the right amount of big and small soil particles and also contains humus.

Answer:

The mixture of clay soil, little sandy soil and same silt soil is suitable for cultivation.  Clay soil has high water holding capacity.  Silt soil is rich in organic matter.  Sandy soil helps in ploughing.  If to this mixture organic fertilizers are added then the soil provides water and minerals to the growing crop.
