For cultivation different soils are termed as best for different crops like for paddy the clayey soil is the best

but, overall the loamy soil retains a perfect balance of all type of soil and humus

so, loamy soil is considered as best

other than this alluvial soil is also termed as best which also retains the property of loamy soil.
