see, there can be inumerous number of manttas on any deva. But the most important and special qualities of agnideva are:-

1.He is called as Pavitra or Holy, this is because it destroys everything that comes in his way, and destroys anything that is inauspicious.

2.He also acts as a messenger to the God, because when we light a fire, its flames rise in the upward direction, thereby symbolising the way of Swarga or Heaven.

3.This is the reason during Yagnas, priests worship Gods through the way of fire, and while offering grains in the fire, it means that these offerings are carried by the agni to the heaven to our God.

4. It is also said that Agnideva is so auspicious that it does not harm any person with a pure heart, which is a symbol of auspicion and divine. For eg:- the agni pareeksha of Devi Sita. Because her heart was pure and dedicated towards Lord Ram, Agnideva didn't harm her.

In the First mantra of rig veda, Agnidev is decribed as tge preceptor of sacrifice and the family priest who conducts all the safrificial right for the house holder.He is the one who makes us to perform sacrifice. He is the god with divine lusture and he wears precious gems.
