The correct answer is Mg2+ has the largest size and Al has the smallest size, because the size increases across a period and increase down the group. Also Mg2+ is the largest as we have removed 2 e- from its outer shell already because due to its larger size than magnesium the force of attraction on the electrons in the outer shell was less thus the 2 e- were removed easily
