Almost all countries have a clause about the right to freedom of expression. Media freedom or freedom of the press is mentioned in the United Nations' 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights which states that all people has the right to freedom of opinion and expression which cannot be interfered and through any media available.
In the Indian Constitution, there is a clause that talks about this in Article 19(1) a. This can also be applied to all media personnel but of course there should be limitation to this "freedom" so as not to destroy the trust of the people.
