Lactobacilli is stained by using (B) safranine
Lactobacilli is a gram-positive bacteria, which means that it can easily take up stains exerted by the iodine applied onto it.
In the process of gram staining, the bacteria are first stained with iodine followed by washing it with alcohol. If the bacteria retain the stain, it is said to be gram-positive but when the bacteria doesn't retain the stain, it is classified as gram-negative bacteria.
After washing with alcohol the gram-positive bacteria is stained with safranine which helps in distinguishing the cell wall.
