The State Government of Maharashtra had intiated a scheme for the welfare of farmers of the state . The scheme was known as ‘Kanya Van Samriddhi Yojana’. Under this programme, the state government would provide free saplings to the farmer`s families where girl children were born. These saplings will be provided to the farmers families for plantation.The objective of the scheme was to empower women and promoting tree plantation.
