Narmada River valley is the largest west flowing river and also known as the Life Line of Madhya Pradesh. There are 30 major dams,135 medium dams and around 3000 minor dam projects are proposed along with long canals on the NarmadaBasin by NVDA.Rajasthan

There are 30 major dams,135 medium dams and around 3000 minor dam projects are proposed along with long canals on the NarmadaBasin by NVDA.RajasthanRajasthan does not form part of the Narmada basin. The total basin area of the river is 97,410 square kilometer comprising 85,858 square kilometer in Madhya Pradesh, 1658 square kilometer in Maharashtra and 9894 square kilometer in Gujarat.
