Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched ‘Scheme for Adolescent girls’ in the state on February 21, 2019.

The objective of the scheme is to take care of the education of girls, aged between 11 to 14 years, till graduation, who have left studies and also take necessary steps for proper nutrition and special care for them.

The state government has also decided to observe 8th of every month as Adolescent Girls Day at Anganwadi centres across the state.

In addition to this, Nutrition Campaign for the adolescent girls will be organised on 8th March, 2019.
