Radius of nth orbital,

          r = n²h²/4π²mKZe²

i.e.   r  is inversely proportional to n²/z

In HYDOGEN n=1,z=1

∴n²/Z=1.........................Eq1

In Be Z=4..........n²/Z=1  [From eq1]

∴n²=1×Z=1×4=4

⇒n=√4=2

n=2
