1. Tamil Nadu

Uttar Pradesh is the fourth largest industrialised state in India. It was home to at least 14, 463 factories till 2013-14. Whereas, the number of factories was just 10, 417 in 1990-91.
5. Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh is the fifth most industrialised state in India. It has not performed that well, but still managed to secure fifth position in the list of the most industrialised states in the country. It housed at least 15, 719 factories till 2013-14. Whereas, the number was just 15, 205 in 1990-91.
