The statement about purpose in an interview which is true is C. You should consider the purposes of both the interviewee and the interviewer.

The purpose of the interviewer is to know if the interviewee can perform the given task and the skills reflect the qualifications.

Whereas, the interviewee's purpose is to show that the work can be performed by him/her. Also, the main purpose of an interviewee is to describe its goals and interest in order to demonstrate the motivation in work.  Also, it wants to determine the job and learn as much as possible.
