Which statement best explains why there are 64 possible codons in the genetic code and only 20 amino acids that make proteins of living orgsnism on earth

Genetic codon is a triplet code containing coded information for each amino acid with 3 nucleotides. Thus for 20 amino acids four cube or sixty four codons are possible. The genetic code is unambiguous.
