Statement :- Archimedes principle
Archimedes principle :- It states that any body completely or partially submerged in a fluid (gas or liquid) at rest is acted upon by an upward, or buoyant force , the magnitude of which is equal to the weight of the fluid .
Reason :- The block of wood floats in water because the wood has less density than that of water and also due to the buoyant force the wood floats in water .
