FALSE -

1) perimeter of an equilateral triangle is two time's it's sides.

this statement is false.

we know that a triangle has three sides. moreover, all the three sides of an equilateral triangle are equal.

let the side of the equilateral triangle be x.

perimeter of an equilateral triangle = side + side + side or side × 3

= x * 3

= 3x

so the perimeter must be three times it's sides.

TRUE :-

2) perimeter of a square having side 20cm is 80cm.

yeah it's true.

we know that a square has four equal sides.

given the Length of it's side = 20cm

formula to find the perimeter of a square = 4 × side

therefore it's perimeter = 4 × 20

= 80cm

hence, it's true. always remember that the perimeter of a square is 4 time's it's side.

EXPLANATION —

1) Perimeter of Equilateral Triangle = 3 × sides of triangle✔

Reason - Equilateral Triangle have same side.. Since we know perimeter means bouded curve length.. It have 3 equal sides bounded area

Perimeter = a + a + a = 3a

2) Perimeter of Square = 4 × side ✔

= 4 × 20

= 80 cm
