Carnegie gave money to educational institutes and built libraries across the country.

Andrew Carnegie was a philanthropist and the founder of a steel company (where the Homestead strike took place in 1892).  J.P. Morgan, in 1899 bought his company. Thereon, he determined to advance the conditions of the society, consequently, he gave away all his incomes to set up libraries and universities to improve teaching.  Carnegie gave money to build around 3,000 libraries and also funded various schools, colleges, and institutes that promote education.
