Explanation:

A Shylock uses Jacob-Laban story to suggest how a little bit of trick can put one financially secured. He relates the story when Jacob went to work for Laban, an agreement was made between them that Jacob would receive for his services the lambs which were born with spot or stripes.

Answer:

Antonio scorns shylock for taking interest as it is against some of the morals of christianity but shylock insists that he earns the interest and uses the christian story of jacob and laban to prove his point.

Jacob was supposed to care for his uncle, Laban's sheep. Jacob was the heir to his grandfather Abraham’s birthright, because his mother cleverly arranged for her husband Isaac to make Jacob his heir. Jacob abd Laban agreed that Jacob would keep all the spotted lambs which were born and Laban would keep all the plain ones. Jacob stuck spotted bark around the place where the sheeps were mating and as the spots were what the mothers saw as they were mating they gave birth to spotted lambs, thereby increasing his share of the flock. So while Jacob didn't exactly take interest, Shylocks point was that profit was profit and as long as it wasn't taken by stealing, it was justified.
