If we look at the respiratory system, we will see that the oxygen from the trachea is passed to the lungs by the bronchi.  

The trachea is a single tube through with oxygen passes to the double-tubed bronchi as we breathe air inside.

The two tubes of bronchi are called left and right bronchi and are often termed as alveoli and bronchioles.
