Pure substances are substances which cannot be decompose by chemical change.
- substances which are pure in nature like metals Gold, silver, etc. can never be destroyed by chemical processes such as heating, electrolysis, etc.
- during electrolysis of gold, we again get the pure gold metal at the end of the process at anode.
- so, by chemical process we can only segregate the compounds of pure substance but cannot destroy it.
