Between the two options mentioned in the question,the 5°C is the greater temperature.

In the celcius scale of temperature,the lowest temperature reading is always set at the temperature of the 0°C.

The values which come under the 0°C (negative values) are obviously less than the upper values of the 0°C (positive values).

That's why 5°C is greater than -5°C.
