When sugar dissolves completely in any liquid that is called saturated solution.

This is a homogeneous mixture.

This is the solution in which if we add more sugar, it will settle down to the bottom of the glass or the beaker.

So saturated solution is just the optimum mixture of sugar and water or any two such things.

The term which is used when sugar is completely dissolved in water is homogeneous mixture.

Explanation:

  • The sugar is dissolved in water, it completely mixes with water and forms the homogenous solution.
  • This homogenous solution has sugar and water which looks single solution with no solute because the sugar cube is completely dissolved in the solution.
  • The coffee and tea are also best example for this condition. Hence this process is called as homogenization.
