Here, first term a = 4
Common Difference d = ( a2 - a1 ) = 9 - 4 = 5
Last term an = 109
We that the nth term of an AP is
an = a + ( n - 1 ) * d
=> 109 = 4 + ( n - 1 ) * 5
=> 109 = 4 + 5n - 5
=> 109 = - 1 + 5n
=> 109 + 1 = 5n
=> 110 = 5n
=> 110 / 5 = n
=> 22 = n
=> n = 22
Hence the nth term of an AP is 22.
