First term of the G. P., r = √3

Common ratio, r = 3 / √3 = √3

An = ar ^( n-1 )

729 = √3 × √3 ^ ( n - 1 )

729 = √3 ^ n

√3^12 = √3^n

Bases are same, so their powers will become equal.

n = 12.

So, 12 th term of the G. P. is 729.

Anonymous: 3^6 = 729, so, √3 ^12. Just calculate it.
Anonymous: 3^6 or √3 ^12 = 729
Anonymous: We cannot divide √3 as here is it's power ( n - 1 ). So, we have to make √3 in L. H. S. so that we can cancel it out. on both sides and get he value of n.
Anonymous: √3 should be there on both sides , then their powers will become equal.
