Answer:-

Step by step explanation :-

Given AP:-

48, 43, 38......

First term, a = 48

Common Difference, d = ( a2 - a1 ) = 43 - 48 = - 5

We know that the nth term of the AP

an = a + ( n - 1 ) * d = 0

=> 48 + ( n - 1 ) * ( - 5 ) = 0

=> 48 - 5n + 5 = 0

=> 53 - 5n = 0

=> - 5n = - 53

=> n = 53 / 5

=> n = 10.6

Ist negative term is 11th term.

Hope it helps!

Answer:

Given

48 , 43 , 38 , ......... , are in A.P

First term a = 48

Common difference

d = a2 - a1 = 43 - 48 = -5

d = -5

nth term of A.P

an = n + ( n - 1 ) d = 0

an = 48 + ( n - 1 ) -5 = 0

an = 48 - 5n + 5 = 0

an = 53 - 5n = 0

- 5n = 0 - 53

- 5n = - 53

n = - 53 / - 5

[ minus gets cancelled ]

n = 10.6
