The 18th term of this A.P would be 20 more than it's 12th term.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A.P = 2,4,6,...

a = 2

d = 4-2 = 2

As per the question ,

an = a12+20_______(1)

a12 = a+ (12-1)d [an= a+(n-1)d]

a12 = (2) + 11(2)

= 2 + 22

= 24

an=(24)+12 [Substituting the value of a12 in (1) ]

= 36

an = a+(n-1)d = 36

(2)+(n-1)(2)=36

2+2n-2=36

2-2+2n=36

2n=36

n=36/2

n=18

Hope this helps you!
