We know that Tn = a + (n-1)d

                             = 84 + (n-1) *(-4) = 0

                             = 84 - 4n + 4 = 0

                            = 88 - 4n = 0

                            n = 88/4

                               = 22

Hope this helps!

Answer:

22nd term

Step-by-step explanation:

The arithmetic sequence is given as

84,80,76....

We have

a = 84

d = 80-84 = -4

We have to find the term which is zero in the A.P. i.e. a_n=0

General form of an A.P. is given by

a_n=a+(n-1)d

Substituting the known values, we get

0=84+(n-1)(-4)\\\\0=84-4n+4\\\\4n=88\\\\n=22

Hence, 22nd term of the given A.P. is zero.
